Ah, esse antigo abundante
Fazendo de ti canção
Em mim, saudade mutante,
Liberdade, razão…
Poria teus sonhos ao peito
Porém de toques certeiros
Que em tão vivo conceito
Lábios e olhos montanheiros
Faria de ti o planalto
Mais terno da minha ida
Onde o amor fala mais alto
Da garganta, o fado, a vida.
