Dusk in your Eyes

When my eyes close,
I can see your appearance
in my imagination

In reality our relationship is dormant
My thoughts are roots,
sprouting to breathe in love

And I wonder if you do as I
And I wonder if you as I,
would like to know me better
Can your eyes of twilight,
see me as I do you?

I’ve been thawing out my resentments;
putting them to good use with,
every good thing you have said
or done for me

Rested near to you is my confidence;
the way you believe in me
I don't mind at all the twilight,
that separates us from being the same

Our hearts are identical
that is the greatest love of all
Now the stars I see glitter, to
multiply in the dusk of my eyes

To imagine you I hold on to you;
as a security blanket, but I
want to replace it with your
complete presence in my life,
not the fantasy that keeps me unsure

Is it proper for me to say that
the dusk of your eyes is only
keeping you from seeing me in the flesh?
That does not matter,
when a man and woman;
have a mutual interest
in each other
