É quando o Poente acontece
Como outra longa noite
Logo meu Templo espairece
Colhendo meu coração de açoite...

Sacode-me o pensamento
Isolando meu campo, lúzidia
Ilumina na memória, um doce tormento;
Uma triste lembrança, da solitária melodia...

Muito tenho esperado
- Com virtude no olhar;
... Só o olhar que anseio contemplado
Pode ser, sem uma virtude chegar...

Virtuosa coroa por coroar
É a fortuna que posso encontrar;
Que o mérito batalha o suscesso
Colhido do fruto;
Por tanta virtude, confeço.
