A lagarta

 
Acordei transbordando de alegria,
me despindo  dos  vestígios de uma noite,
mas ao abrir a porta, a brisa fria
ruborizou-me a face como açoite.

Neblina fina molhava a janela,
e jogava orvalho nas flores do jardim.
Na minha casa, fazendo a casa dela
uma lagarta sorria para mim.

Enquanto eu dormi um sono leve,
a coitada trabalhou a noite inteira.
Pois, ela sabe que será em breve
a borboleta mais linda e mais faceira.
