Foi tudo por água abaixo...
 

Os sonhos, prazeres, planos...
 

Foi tanto que até eu acho,
 

Que a soma dos desenganos,


 

Decepções e escrachos,
 

sofridos no mundo insano,
 

Desceram pelo riacho,
 

Sumiram no oceano!...


 

Mas ao fazer o balanço,
 

De tanta dor nesta dança,
 

Uma verdade eu alcanço:


 

Sobrou-me algo contudo:
 

O Amor, a Fé e a Esperança!...
