A CHEGADA DAS CHUVAS - (Soneto)
As brumas encobriam a floresta,
era momento de raios e trovões.
Estes brilhavam e ecoavam, desta
nossa mata espessa, nos fundões.

Estes brilhavam e ecoavam, desta
nossa mata espessa, nos fundões.
Avisavam, das chuvas, a chegada
inundando rios, lagos e ribeiros,
nutrindo as campinas da manada
que pastaria feliz lá nos agueiros.
Aos colonos em torno desta mata,
águas são graças caídas lá do céu,
e chegam este ano em hora exata.
Se este ano nós tivermos a fartura
todos juntos ergueremos um troféu:
a recompensa pela nossa lida dura.
Pra não dizer que não falei das pombas...
