Reflections in a Puddle

After the hard rain, water
runoff from the street
fills a depression,
the pothole
on the side
of Gun Hill Road.

Children float wooden
sticks as boats
and toss in pieces
of brick,
imagining the ripples
are waves crashing
on a beach.

Rainbows appear
whenever gas & oil
mixes with water.
