Siente el peligro la incertidumbre..... Apagando
Del insomne semblante la vigilia......Sombras
La turba de voz conmovedora.............Apagando
Gritos de pálidos martillos, polvos.....Sombras
Inertes mansedumbres.......................Apagando
su mal llorando..... ¡Apagando sombras, apagando!
El tiempo qué lleva el viento
¡Dónde yacen encallados los recuerdos !
¡Dónde a la piedad el fuego sobra !
Y
Las
Sombras
Apagan
Sombras... ¡Apagan sombras !
En la paciencia herida veloz duda........
¡Bendita culpa, rebelde afrenta !
Torcida compasión llena de envidia
Tres veces imposibles una mirada
¡Del pueblo ayuno de fuente ignota!
¡Del blanco cuello maldad y engaño!
¡Siente la turba inerte abismo!
¡! Siente la omnipotente espina ¡!
¡Apagando sombras, apagando sombras!
Mezclado con todo ésto, mil conjeturas
La virtud en ceniza planta marchita
¡Un caballo, una manzana con alfilieres!
¡Un rostro en la pupila de cada zapato!
Del camino confundido el lápiz en la noche
Del viejo ávido del papel amarillento
¡Con la honesta libélula de expresión!
