o teu vigário humilde

com o Barão Rotschild.
A cruz da redenção, que deu ao mundo a vida,
por te haver dado a morte,
tem-na no seu bureau o padre-santo erguida
sobre uma caixa forte.
E toda essa riqueza imensa, acumulada
por tantos financeiros,
o que é a economia, oh Deus ! foi começada
só com trinta dinheiros !
