Summer Love
Under a tree
on my back;
I read a paper-back
Branches covered in leaves
hide birds in love,
but I hear their song
The whistle I follow
and I squint
Although sunlight haze shadows,
two I find
a song, a peck
a peck, a song
Off they fly
unto a nearby tree
to make love.
