Jovem e destemida,
eu era crente,
era Vida,
era temente,
era Amor.
Era Confiança
em rosto risonho.
Tinha Esperança
num mundo de sonho,
sem dor.
Traída nessa visão
dum futuro irrealista,
onde a paixão
nos cega a vista…,
caí em mim.
Em tudo o que me chocou,
pus uma cruz. Sem Cristo.
E hoje, eu sou
o produto de tudo isto
a que pus um fim.
Conheço de Cristo a glória
que o distinguiu.
Ele está na história.
Sei que existiu.
Contudo, perdi a Fé.
Milagres? Oh meus amigos!
Mas que mentira!
Quantos castigos…,
enquanto este mundo gira…
Será porque sou Tomé?
