O QUE SERIA DE MIM

O que seria de mim se durante a minha infância
me tivessem dado tudo aquilo que eu pedia?
Hoje, carente de algumas coisas, não por ganância...
muito sinceramente, não sei dizer o que faria.

O que seria de mim se durante a juventude
tivessem ignorado a minha agitação?
Seria mimada, caprichosa e bastante rude,
carecendo de uma orientada correcção!

O que seria de mim se os meus pobres Pais, outrora,
tivessem menosprezado o meu medo de voar?
Seguramente não teria tanta força, agora, 
perante a minha necessidade de viajar.
