A vinda para Lisboa

A madrugada estava a meio
Quando de Estremoz,
E sem receio
O regimento de Cavalaria
Três,
À esteada se fez
Rumando a Setúbal,
Em Vendas Novas pararia
Para os depósitos encher.

Tal precaução
Se devia,
A possíveis manobras
Que, durante a operação
Ocorrer deveria,
Por fim a Lisboa chegadas
Tomaram sua posição,
Na história
Da lusa Pátria.
