I Smile

Even if I am upset
I smile
Even if I am disappointed
I smile
Even if I have more than
a thousand problems
I smile
You ask me why,
I still smile,
but I won’t tell you
that when I see you
I remember my dreams
I am touched
with what they bring me
you are in them
I am reminded
of the way you meet me
there-
in that other world
you are with me
like-
magic to make me smile.
