O Beijo (Giuseppe Ghiaroni)

Se teu beijo doesse e torturasse,
transmitisse um veneno e uma doença,
inoculasse o gérmen da descrença
e destruísse a Fé que não renasce!

Se teu beijo ferisse e condenasse,
fosse um pecado, um crime e uma sentença;
se eu te beijasse e, numa angústia imensa,
fosse ficando pestilento de uma face!

Se o teu beijo deixasse uma ferida
e meus lábios sangrassem toda vida
e eu tombasse murchando sobre o pó...

Tu serias o horror de toda a gente!
Mas eu te ampararia docemente
e pediria, em troca, um beijo, um só!
