Eu bebo a Vida, a Vida, a longos tragos
Como um divino vinho de Falerno!
Pousando em ti o meu amor eterno
Como pousam as folhas sobre os lagos…

Os meus sonhos agora são mais vagos…
O teu olhar em mim, hoje, é mais terno…
E a Vida já não é o rubro inferno
Todo fantasmas tristes e pressagos!

A vida, meu Amor, quer vivê-la!
Na mesma taça erguida em tuas mãos,
Bocas unidas hemos de bebê-la!

Que importa o mundo e as ilusões defuntas?…
Que importa o mundo e seus orgulhos vãos?…
O mundo, Amor?… As nossas bocas juntas!…
