Ponho palavras mortas no papel,
Tal os selos lambidos doutras línguas
Ou insectos varados de surpresa
Pelo rigor impessoal dos alfinetes.
De palavras assim arrematadas
Encho palcos de pasmo e de bocejo:
Entre as portas me mostro, agaloado,
A passar flores secas por bilhetes.
Quem pudera saber de que maneira
As palavras são rosas na roseira.
