O que é por dentro sentir
Que os dias se fazem inverno
Meu descontentamento existir

Este aperto fundo no peito
Esta insatisfação infelicidade
Que me agoniza deste jeito

Diz-me como sair deste inferno
Esta angustia quase martírio
Este sentimento interno
Que assim me leva ao delírio

Diz-me até quando a eternidade
Deste amor que me enlaça raízes
Clareia no sangue a tonalidade
De rubra cor e doutros matizes

Diz-me sem mentiras ou ilusão
Que a vida sem o teu olhar
Sem teu abraço e aperto de mão
É eterna desventura por chorar

Diz-me se ainda tens em ti
Gosto de um beijo por paixão
Amor que nos teus lábios senti
Da alma inteira e do coração

Diz-me que eterna é a vida
Que tempo algum pode guardar
Um amor de saudade sentida
Que pranto algum possa calar
