Por sobre os pantanais, os vales orvalhados,
Por sobre o éter e o mar, por sobre o bosque e o monte,
E muito além do sol, muito além do horizonte,
Para além dos confins dos tetos estrelados,

Meu espírito, vais, com toda agilidade,
Como um bom nadador deleitado na onda,
Sulcas alegremente a imensidão redonda,
Levado por indizível voluptuosidade.

Bem longe deves voar destes miasmas tão baços;
Vai te purificar por um ar superior,
E bebe, como um puro e divino licor,
O claro fogo que enche os límpidos espaços.
