FEITU DONU DI GRANJA

 
Saiu du paió c’as duas mãos cheia di espiga
e foi si acocorar, como di custume, nu degrau da porta.
Pôis um naco di fumo nu cantu da boca qui sempre mastiga,
quandu não pita u cigarro di paia di fumo di corda.

Dibuiou as espiga e u mio jogou para u artu.
As galinha vieram ao ver tanto mio, fazendo baderna.
U caipira caiu di jueio ali nu terrero depois di um sartu
i atarracou u franguinhu mais gordu pas perna.

Sua muié perguntou sorrinu quandu viu a façanha:
porque a genti só comi galinha feitu donu di granja?
Ucê num podi trocá a franguinha por uma picanha?
Já cansei nu armoçu e na janta desta droga di canja.
