E NO SÉTIMO DIA DESCANSOU...


 
Olhei para o capim que beira
a estrada e subindo pela eira
agastado, cansado e sozinho
adormeci à margem do caminho.

Descansei sobre a relva, da minha
intranquila alma, todo o peso.
Só acordei com o chegar da noitinha
e apesar dos insetos, eu sai ileso.

Ali sobre a úmida e verde grama
eu reconsiderei o objetivo da vida:
importa o dinheiro e também a fama,
mas a preguiça é uma coisa merecida.
