TAMBÉM SE MORRE DE SAUDADE

Caíam gotas de chuva, docemente,
no coração de um velho cidadão.
As gotas... ele suportava santamente,
mas não lidava bem co'a solidão.

Muitos anos passaram sem reclamar
a presença de quem o abandonou...
e esse tempo correu sem vislumbrar
poder rever aqueles que tanto amou.

Pensava na família, sem rancor,
- d’alma em sofrimento, amargurada -
até que lhe sorrisse a madrugada.

E acabou, finalmente, o desamor
de estar entregue à dor e à idade.
Sim! Porque TAMBÉM SE MORRE DE SAUDADE!
