Numa sublime admiração
Fico a contemplar o ceu,
Uma genialidade em mãos,
Borboletas de papel.
Que imaginação incrível!
Fico a me perguntar,
O que foi isto?
Um clarão surgia do mar.
Borboletas de papel
Surgem do ceu
Atrás das púrpuras rosas do Cairo...
E voam entre os jardins de mel
Entre flores coloridas,
Surgem entre as mais queridas flores
As borboletas de papel.
