O fado toca a saudade
Acorda serena paixão
Fossa o tempo na idade
Quebra as portas da solidão

De nada vale o amor
Preso dentro do coração
Só liberto com sua dor
Elegido por vocação
*
Tantas palavras perdidas
Tantas vozes sem atenção
Tantas vélhíces vencidas
Pairando na imênsidão
*
Tanta amizade a voar
Por obra há terra chamada
Da terra correu p`ro mar
E no céu ficou guardada
*
Espera a hora pregada
Na esperança de amar
Em tanta palavra cantada
Falada só por falar
*
Rásga a mente saturada
Cansada de tanto esperar
Mais de ouvir tanta xárada
Que não tem por onde pegar
*
Já tenho os olhos molhados
No rosto a desaguar
E não sei se estão cansados
Ou apenas a chorar
*
Os teus olhos a sorrir
Sorriem ao entendimento
Neles, lágrimas vejo florir
Providas de tanto alento
