Soneto do ronco

Triste ruído que tão m' incomoda.
A roda dá mó é menos ruidosa
que o som de tua grota pavorosa
que à noite ronca repetida moda

Vade pois retro, qu'eu já te esconjuro;
Boca do inferno!Tormento dos demos!
Deixai-me dormir uma noite ao menos.
Pelos mil santos eu te abjuro!

Cessa esse ronco de mil estertores,
Livrai-me agora desses teus horrores
Poupa-me já, aos meus pobres ouvidos

Ata a mordaça à boca nefanda
Cessa o barulho da pérfida banda
Deixai-me sonhar, sem tantos ruídos.
