Para a minha filha Beatriz no seu nono aniversário
É rapariga menina
De olho moreno como a pele
Às vezes da realeza
Muitas outras da plebe
Tem encanto e beleza
A morena de olhos de mel
É toda ela feminina
E ai de quem a leve…
É flor do meu jardim
Outra igual trago regada
O melhor que veio de mim
Pelo ventre da mulher amada
Quando ri faz-me rir
Quando chora rega o chão
Ralho-lhe muitas vezes a sorrir
Outras tantas pelo coração
É personagem de conto meu
Mágico o espelho onde se vê
Cabe nele todo o céu
E o carinho de quem a lê
