Logo que pode, a azaléia abriu-se.
Ai! tinha um pingo de chuva dentro.
Noites, noites, noites formaram-na.
E meus olhos, esperando.
Será por um breve dia, seu límpido rosto.
Mas já os meus olhos irão dentro dela.
Vejo-os na gota de orvalho.
Vejo-os fechados na seda murcha.
Vejo-o caídos na manhã seguinte.
Fiéis à sua esperança.
