Noites sem estrelas

Em ruas desertas

Almas nas sombras

Nas boates, seus boêmios pintam aquarelas

E nuas atrizes espreitam nas frestas

Nas brumas da noite, estranhas figuras

Na Avenida São João esperam pelas sobras


Que noites são aquelas

De Jaçanã e Caipora, mistérios em doses certas

Calma brisa circula no Brás

Na Paulicéia, a noite é a antítese do dia, sem querelas

Os atores de uma peça real, veritas

Dançam nas luzes piscantes, sob penumbras...
