Passeio público

A vida é um jardim
A vila se faz carmim

A praça é um canteiro
O futuro é um letreiro

Aqui.
Aqui ainda resta algum espaço
Até quando trocaremos os gramados por pedras portuguesas?

As flores, o verde
As cores, o ancião, os pombos, as crianças
O vagabundo, o boêmio, os namorados...

Aquele velho chafariz que veio de S. Cristóvão
Substitui o Palácio Monroe, obra de arte
destruído para estacionamentos

Oh, bela cidade
maravilhosa pereces
nas mãos de incautos...
