The Lake
Sometimes a streaming tributary
Sometimes sustained by sea
A marsh or a lagoon
Often dried off monsoon
Opaque or transparent
A lake is picturesque
Deep, ripply, vitreous
Quite voluptuous
With hills and dales
It has indeed many a face
As of a damsel in life’s race.
