Writing To Paint
I write in the style of an apprentice
taught by many inspirations at hand.
Some of the words are but a mist,
fading into the mind, others live on
to expand what is in wait.
In the quiet of an atelier I work,
to bring out my own renaissance.
Grinding the pigment in linseed,
images come to life as I am the colorist.
I strive to better my subject as an artist,
and in doing so the disegno I bring forth
brings out the luster in the heart of the reader.
If anyone should ask;
of me
the reasons why I write
the way I do,
I will offer many answers
There is not one
nor two reasons
that drive me to write
to paint the way I do.
