Confiança (Agostinho Neto)
O oceano separou-se de mim
enquanto me fui esquecendo nos séculos
e eis-me presente/
reunindo em mim o espaço
condensando o tempo.
Na minha hisória
existe o paradoxo do homem disperso
Enquanto o sorriso brilhava
no canto de dor
e as mãos construíam mundos maravilhosos
John foi linchado / o irmão chicoteado nas costas nuas
a mulher amordaçada
e o filho continuou ignorante
E do drama intenso
duma vida imensa e útil
resultou a certeza
As minhas mãos colocaram pedras
nos alicerces do mundo
mereço o meu pedaço de chão.
