Súbito cheiro de terra
Gosto de pó na garganta
Poeira que se levanta
Cortina vermelha na serra

Luz da lua apagada
Caipira na noite escura
Plangor com voz se mistura
Prece na madrugada

Chuva nos traga a verdura
Das flores da serra o perfume
Aumente a colheita em volume
És água benta mais pura

A noite que me estava quieta
Se assusta num breve momento
Um medo me vem com o vento
A estrada é longa e deserta

A chuva copiosa que vem
Traz consigo a ventania
A noite fica mais fria
Fique esta noite meu bem
