Quando por ti grita ó divina.

Ó divina de mi alma
Se houvesse um grito em vão
Se houvesse nefasta calma
Mais qui alma dar-te-ia elevação.

E se hoje sou quem não esquece
- Alegria e encantamento -
É porque em mim sempre enternece
Tua lembrança sem esquecimento.

Estes agora outros versos cantados
Noutros tempos viveram
Hoje e sempre enamorados
Fui busca-los: nunca esconderam.

Laurino teu poema nasceu,
cantando e encantado,
se o amor só existisse durante o dia,
à noite não era bem encarado, mas
o amor quando nasce habita em nós,
vinte e quatro horas num dia.
