Acordei triste na madrugada
Olho ao lado, e não vejo nada
Sonhava com a minha amada

Não posso apagar o passado
Não estou mais ao seu lado
No sonho a tinha encontrado

História de amor incompleta
Única musa deste triste poeta
O cupido desperdiçou sua seta

O amor nasce, cresce e morre
Igual água entre os dedos escorre
Mas nas veias ele ainda percorre

O orgulho na jaula o amor prende
Ele o nosso coração não entende
Só quando o perde se arrepende
