Quem são essas presenças espectrais
que ousam nosso sono perturbar?
Por acaso não sabem que devem
os vivos respeitar?
Não nos assombrem
com seus gritos e lamentos
que ecoam no vazio da escuridão.
Nós queremos a paz e
o repouso para o
dia seguinte enfrentar.
Vão, vão espectros.
Voltem para o seu
silêncio tumular.
Quem está morto,
morto deve ficar.
Nós, os vivos,
temos muito
com que nos
preocupar.
