O POETA NÃO É COMO UMA VADIA

Quando você encontrar um poeta:

faça-o sorrir ou faça-o sofrer.
Mostre a ele a ternura e a agonia.
Só ele entende a felicidade de doer
e, da dor a plenitude ele recria.

O poeta tem que sorrir e sofrer.
A paixão o alegra, a solidão o alivia.
Ele tem na poesia sua forma de viver;
geralmente escreve todo santo dia.

Mas, o poeta não é como a meretriz,
nem se inspira em qualquer vadia,
que para sobreviver ou para ser feliz,
tem que dar todo santo dia.
