E foi assim que eu já cheguei partindo;
vendo que a alegria em ti morava, porque em ti se havia posto.
E você com um sorriso, sempre a sorrir, me recebeu sorrindo
com a felicidade que te adornava mais que joias no pescoço.
Mas o momento do estar contigo era o mesmo do eu ir.
Ao final das horas mortas você perdeu o sorriso ao pé da porta,
e a euforia do chegar foi destruída na hora do partir.
De mãos vazias, sem joias no pescoço, a lembrança o coração me corta.
