O sol vermelho já não queima, nem a tarde arde.
O dia se despede e a noite cai em mim, enfim.
Na estradinha de terra da fazenda vejo a donzela, ela
que caminha perfumada e esvoaçante, prazerosa; rosa
que não foi colhida, rosa perfumada, amada.

Eu, incompleto, beijo em sonho rosas e floridas margaridas.
Ela, donzela vem para mim caminhando com sua candura pura
Mas eu estou apenas sonhando, sonho perdido mesmo, a esmo.
