Vivesse perambulando pelo mundo,
Aí talvez fosse notado.

Se eu fosse um boa-vida,
Vivesse proseando em cada esquina,
Aí talvez fosse lembrado.

Se eu fosse um vigarista,
Vivesse meu nome em cada lista,
Aí talvez fosse mostrado.

Se eu fosse um ninguém,
Desses que nada têm,
Aí talvez fosse comentado.

Mas nada disso sou,
Nem fora-da-lei também...
Sou com muito orgulho alguém
Que luta, que vive, em busca do amor !
