Quando olhei nos teus olhos
E me vi através deles
Pude ler a tua alma
Captar os teus sentidos
Tua vontade
Tua urgência
Mas o tempo
Que agora parece conspirar
Contra nós
Será nosso maior aliado
E um beijo
Que fora roubado
Será então concedido
Sem pressa
Como quem lê um longo poema
E degusta cada verso
Sente cada palavra
E fecha o livro para reler na memória
Tudo aquilo que fora escrito
E eu te chamarei "meu poeta"
Aquele que eu aguardava
Então direi que tu és
A rima que me faltava
