O Significado da Páscoa: Parte IV – Os peixes
O peixe foi adotado
como símbolo da páscoa
pelos primeiros cristãos.
Em grego, a palavra peixe
Era um símbolo da confissão da fé,
E, significava: "Jesus Cristo,
filho de Deus e Salvador do mundo."
O costume de evitar carne vermelha
E comer peixe na sexta-feira Santa,
se associa ao fato de Jesus ter repartido
este alimento entre o povo faminto.
Assim reza a tradição firme,
de não se comer carne,
com o sangue derramado
em nosso favor, por Cristo.
