A Verdadeira Alegria (Bernard Shaw)
"Esta é a verdadeira alegria na vida, ser usado para um propósito reconhecido por nós próprios como sendo grandioso;
Ser uma força da natureza ao invés de um torrão febril e egoísta, feito de padecimentos e lamentos, que se queixa pelo mundo não se dedicar a fazê-lo feliz.
Sou da opinião de que a minha vida pertence à comunidade como um todo e, enquanto viver, é meu dever, meu privilégio fazer por ela tudo o eu que puder.
Quero estar completamente gasto quando morrer, porque quanto mais sirvo, mais vivo. Eu regozijo-me na vida por si mesma.
A vida não é vela breve para mim. É uma espécie de facho esplêndido que agarro por um momento e que quero fazer brilhar o máximo possível antes de o passar para gerações futuras."
