Ao perder-te eu a ti
tu e eu teremos perdido.
Eu, porque tu eras
o que eu mais amava;
e tu, porque era eu
o que te amava mais.

Mas, de nós dois
tu perdes mais do que eu.
Porque eu poderei amar a outras
como amava a ti,
Porém a ti não te amarão mais
do que eu te amava!

Al perderte yo a ti,
tu y yo hemos perdido:
yo por que tu eres
lo que yo más amaba
y tú porque yo era
el que te amaba más.

Pero de nosotros dos,
tú pierdes más que yo:
porque yo podré amar a otras,
como te amaba a ti,
pero a ti no te amarám
como te amaba yo.
