NUNCA DISSE QUE ERA FÁCIL!

Ah, nos tempos incertos de outrora
quando a alma murmurando ia -se embora
- enquanto tudo em volta continuava
a mesma coisa -, em sonhos delirava,

a todo o instante, a qualquer hora.
- Ou era ou não era agora;
(como que pensando: já lá não estava);
(como que lutas travando: e já me negava).

Crescendo sem pressas depressa demais
tépidos dias de elevo em crescendo
foram-me vergando e às forças vitais.

Lides dias; soçobravam meus ais!
Quando em mim, parecendo
ia morrendo, um pouquinho mais.
