IMPRECAÇÕES DE UM CONDENADO II

 

II

Eram só de grades,
Os meus sonhos.
No frio que era meu,
E nunca delas,
Procurar-me razão
Seria atiçar grilhões,
Ou despertar cobiça
No carrasco.

E as noites, sucediam-se,
Rasavam pelos dias,
Sem que estes se importassem
Muito, com o facto
De eu neles fazer reparo,
Sorrindo-lhes mesmo,
Numa cobardia passiva
De condenado.

E tudo era por dentro,
A meio a fezes
Que tinham o meu nome,
Implícito no esmalte.
