Mendiga

Por palavras me apresento;
Venho da terra e do mar...
Venho contar-vos o sabor do vento
E da chuva, na chaparia a cantar...
- Venha trazer alegria;
Do seu verde e das pedras a brilhar...
- Secar as lágrimas da fantasia:
Na tinta que pinga chorar...

-Caneta chora ao papel;
Que, coração quer fugir...
- Anda há volta do cordel
- Cospe as tintas ao pincel
Que o céu anda a colorir...

- Arrumado ao inquílino da vida
Que o tempo desvanecer...
- Gásta-se o áço, fica velhinha
- Marca a rota sem querer...

- Em teu brilho repousei
- Adormeceu o olhar...
- Leva-me ao templo de Rei...
Em mim sonha reparar...

Cerrando o navegar
Em seu espelho aterrei
- Flectido:
Vi a terra, vi o mar...
Em pequeno me tornei

Fui há vida que deu a terra
Fui há semente tornar
Fui ao centro, que me vérna
“ Em raízes me encontrar”...

- Qual o pedaço de vida
Que ainda posso clamar? ...
- Qual o sonho? ...
Que me diga:
-Qual embrulha ou castiga
Desfolha o rumo em mendiga:
Mendigando o olhar.
