Waiting Patiently

I hold this in my hand-

You're falling with the sand-

This hourglass

About to break...

Into another day.

I wait now patiently

For your return...

I see that you're gone for the night.

The clock strikes without notice-

A new day breaks-

The hourglass falls

From my hands.
