Tantos que por ti já passaram;
Sem sequer te conhecer, arriscaram;
Pena daqueles que se sacreficaram;
Doloroso aqueles que choraram;
O teu azul dá-me esperança;
Portugal, deixaste-nos este mar... Esta herança;
Mas ninguém conhece bem o mar;
Pois muda de disposição facilmente;
Gostava tanto que este mar pudessem amar;
Mas vejo –vos a suja-lo...
Voçês deixam-no doente;
Olhem para ele... Portugal tenta aproveitar!
Explorem-no tentem encará-lo;
Ganhem coragem...
Recordem-se de Vasco da Gama e de Gil Eanes;
Portugal! O mar é a nossa imagem!
Apostem nele e sairão triufantes.
