DELÍRIO DO ÍNDIO PYATÃ


Acauã deixou o seu ninho.
Por isso se ouvem os pios
do seu filhote sozinho
nas sombras dos arrepios.

Acauã espreita a aldeia
e encara o índio na oca.
Grasna para lua cheia
e abre as asas sobre a toca.

É uma noite que espanta,
que só índio pode entender.
Quando um acauã canta
alguém por ali vai morrer.

Acauã é praga que azara;
mas, pode ser sina ou sorte.
Pyatã sofre e se arrasa
e sente o agouro da morte.

O índio cai em sono profundo.
A luz pra ele se apaga, escurece.
Pyatã está fora do mundo.
Seu corpo então desfalece.

Acauã o carrega pro espaço.
Sua mente enfraquece e atordoa.
Acauã é uma ave de aço
navegando pelo céu na canoa.
